journalist, scientist: palaeontologist, Cosmic geologist, mathematician,
archaeologist. Graduated from the Biology Faculty of the Moscow State
University named in honour of M.V. Lomonosov (1980-1985), speciality -
zoology, botany (course work: "Zooarchaeology of Scythian horses of
Kirkinitida (Eupatoria) and Chersonese Taurian (Sevastopol')", Thesis:
"Functional Morphology of the Oligocene swamp rhinos of Mongolia”;
scientific leaders - S.P. Maslov, J. F. Dzerzhinsky, V.Yu. Reshetov,
P.P. Gambaryan), the Geological and Prospecting Faculty of the Kazakh
National Technical University named after K. Satpayev (1984-1990),
speciality - geology, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits
(student projects: "Reconstruction of the Oligocene and Miocene
biogeooriktocenoses of the Zaisan Basin, Eastern Kazakhstan:

Institute of paleobiology of the Georgian Academy of Sciences
(1990-1991; host professor - academician of the Academy of Sciences of

turtles of Kazakhstan" (Ph.D. - 30.12.1991, Institute of Geology of the

Since 1985 - work in the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences
of Kazakhstan. Director and supervisor (Principal Investigator) of the
joint Kazakhstan-French palaeontological expedition (1995) together with
Prof. Dr. L. de Bonis and M. Brunet (Université
de Poitiers, France); director and
scientific director of the joint Kazakhstan-American paleontological
expedition (1995) together with Dr. Gregg Gunnel (University of
Michigan, USA), Dr. P.D. Polly (University of

Kazakhstan-German-(Dutch) paleontological expedition (1999) together
with Dr. E.P.J. Heizmann (Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde, Stuttgart,

director and scientific director of the joint Kazakhstan-Chinese
paleontological expedition (1999) together with Prof. Dr. Zheng, Dr. W.
Wu (Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology,
Beijing, China). Subject of scientific investigations: discovery and
study of numerous Cretaceous, Paleogene and Neogene faunas of
vertebrates in Southern, South-Eastern and Western Kazakhstan, their
systematics, biodiversity, biostratigraphy, palaeoecology and
